/PanARMENIAN.Net/ There will be no breakthrough in Armenian-Turkish
relations either by fall, or during fall, Aleksandr Skakov, head of
CIS department of the Russian Institute for Strategic Research told
a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

"Armenian-Turkish dialog is actually frozen. When started this process
Ankara was pursuing momentary goals: strengthen its positions in
the Caucasus, stop the process of international recognition of the
Armenian Genocide, drive a wedge between Armenia and Diaspora,"
Russian expert said.

According to Aleksandr Skakov, there is no common approach to the
process of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations either in
Turkey or in Armenia.

According to Aleksandr Skakov, the stable position of the Turkish side
in this process and in the framework of other international processes
is important for Russia. "If Russia could be sure that there is no
third force behind the Armenian-Turkish process, it would be geared
up more positively, " Mr. Skakov stressed.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
