/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Obama Administration should carry out great work
to eliminate the consequences of its predecessors’ policy, Iranian
Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Sagayn told a news conference in
Yerevan. "We must see that US Administration is unwilling to pursue
its predecessors’ policy. Tehran closely follows official Washington’s
statements. We expect them to take concrete steps instead of making
speeches," Iranian diplomat stressed.

Sagayn also reminded of Obama’s statement on Iranian elections being
the country’s internal affair. "I don’t think Tehran’s current foreign
policy led to the country’s isolation. On the contrary, it helped
Iran to become a stakeholder in the region," the Ambassador said.

With regard to Iranian-Israeli relations, the diplomat characterized
the Zionist regime as a "usurper which committed a number of crimes
in Gaza." "Maintaining friendly ties with such regime is out of the
questions," he stressed.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
