/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Recently, vatan.org.ru Azeri internet recourse
circulated a material entitled "Armenians are fleeing Karabakh",
citing data from survey conducted by Stepanakert Press Club, with
financial assistance of Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

PanARMENIAN.Net reporter addressed the Head of Stepanakert Press Club,
Gegham Baghdasaryan and Friedrich Ebert Foundation Yerevan Subsidiary
Director, Naira Gevorgyan, with a request to comment on publication
specified.

According to Gegham Baghdasaryan, the article is clearly a
misinformation, an Azeri- spread rumor aimed at disorientation of
public opinion. "We never conducted such surveys, nor did Ebert
Foundation put in such an order. Moreover, it’s safe to say no one
will leave their native land for reasons indicated in the article,
as such reasons do not exist."

Friedrich Ebert Foundation Yerevan Subsidiary Director, Naira
Gevorgyan also officially denied information on financing any survey
in Stepanakert.

PanARMENIAN.Net also verified information on a certain RA Human
Rights Protection Center, with an expert named "Hrayr Aghajanyan"
among its employees. No such center was ever registered at RA Justice
Ministry. However, there is Sakharov Human Rights Protection Center.

As for Express Newspaper, cited by Azeri internet resource, the
private advertisements newspaper hasn’t been published in Yerevan
for over 3 years.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
