ArmInfo. Oil dollars will hardly make Azerbaijan stronger. In the
1990s Azerbaijan was stronger than Armenia but failed to take this
advantage as there are more important things than strength, the member
of the parliamentary group of the Republican Party of Armenia Hermine
Nagdalyan said during Yerevan-Moscow video bridge "Meeting of Armenian
and Azeri Presidents in Moscow: Is Progress Possible?"

"The key to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem is in the hands of the
self-determined Nagorno-Karabakh people, who have made their political
decision in line with the international law and have defended it in
a imposed war," Nagdalyan said.

By stipulating interim status and guaranteeing security and
self-governance, the renewed version of the Madrid principles reflects
the reality Azerbaijan does not want to accept.

The reality is that Nagorno-Karabakh is not part of Azerbaijan. For
15 years already it has existed as a democratic state, which in some
aspects is even more democratic than Azerbaijan, Nagdalyan said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
