Medvedev, other CIS leaders arrive at racetrack to watch horse races

MOSCOW, July 18 (Itar-Tass) — Dmitry Medvedev has arrived at Moscow’s
Central Racetrack where horse races will take place for the
president’s prize.

Together with the Russian president, leaders of other CIS countries
also arrived to watch the races.

Kazakh Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev, Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan, Azerbaijani President Ilkham Aliyev, Moldovan President
Vladimir Voronin, Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon and Abkhazian and
South Ossetian leaders Sergei Bagapsh and Eduard Kokoity are present
at the event.

Aside from the Prize of the Russian President, there will be also
other awards, including the International Prize, the Prize of the
National Horse Breeding Union, the Prize of the Russian Agriculture
Ministry and others.

The presidents are expected to discuss some present-day issues in the
informal atmosphere during the races.
