IT IS PLANNED TO RESUME PRODUCTION AT NAIRIT PLANT STARTING FROM SECOND HALF OF AUGUST

YEREVAN, JULY 28, NOYAN TAPAN. After the accident at the chloroprene
department of Nairit Plant, it is planned to resume production starting
from the second half of August, NT correspondent was informed by
Nairit’s spokeswoman Anush Harutyunian.
According to her, repairs and relaunch work is now being carried out
at the plant. Not only the department damaged by the fire, but also
the whole plant is under repair. About 150 thousand dollars will be
spent on this work.
A. Harutyunian said that the plant had a stock of its goods which have
been sold while the plant has been standing idle. Since the accident
Nairit has not lost any market.
As regards the causes of the explosion at the chloroprene department,
A. Harutyunain noted that the investigation bodies are still conducting
an investigation. "We cannot say anything until they officially
announce their conclusion and compare it with the results of the
commission set up to inquire into the causes of the explosion,"
she said.
