DEMOCRATS SUPPORT PAUL KREKORIAN IN LOS ANGELES MUNICIPAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS

The members of Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley decided in
unison at the August 3 meeting to support Paul Krekorian who nominated
himself for the second electioneering of Los Angeles municipal council
elections. According to the Asbarez newspaper, the 57:0 result of
the vote was unprecedented in the history of this branch of the party.
Speaking about the elections to take place on September 22, member of
California Parliament P. Krekorian said that in these days of economic
crisis and obscurity an important work should be done at the local
level and that is why he had decided to take part in this election. He
also noted that he is glad with the fact that the democrats of the
region decided in unison to support his electoral campaign making the
victory more realizable. "The decision shows that my electoral campaign
cooperates with the community and is for it," P. Krekorian added.
