THE SITE OF THE RA ECONOMY MINISTRY IS HARMFUL

"There are Armenian sites which have been hacked since Friday and
have not been recovered yet. Particularly the site of the Ministry
of Economy has been hacked and has not been recovered. It is also the
problem of the National Security council that the governmental sites
are being hacked", – today said Stepan Aslanyan the director of the
"Smart Systems" company to the journalists.
He mentioned that there are 2 types of hacking, Defacement, when the
appearance of the site is changed, pages are added, and flags are put
on the page so that can be visible for all the users, and the Mauser,
which is much more dangerous, he says. In this case the viruses are
sent to the computer. The computer is being damaged invisibly, and
the results appear later.
Stepan Aslanyan said that the Economy Ministry site has been hacked
by the 2nd type of virus, the most dangerous one.
Anahit Khechoyan, the head of the information and public relation
department of RA Economy Ministry, answering the question of Aysor.am
said it is not known yet who has hacked the site but the Ministry too
has felt that the site is vulnerable and has decided not to prolong
the agreement of the operating company.
"We are going to open a new site. We hope that it will take short
time. The works are being done already. Simply at this moment the
tools do not allow the experts who work with us to correct it",
– said A. Khechoyan adding that maybe the experts of the previous
operating company could resume the site, but also because of the
financial problems another group has been chosen which at this moment
is not bale to recover the site.
She also informed that the Ministry has a new IT group, which promises
to make the internal and external net more powerful.
"The new site will operate as soon as possible, the design is chosen,
and the main tools exist too. The Ministry is newly formed, and we
have to make substantial changes too", – noted Khechoyan.
But till that time the computers of those who will use the site of
RA Economy Ministry will gain new viruses and new problems.
