ISSUE OF NUTRITION SAFETY WAS DISCUSSED

Today, a conference participated by heads of regional administrations,
Ministers of Economic Development and Agriculture, Director of
the Fund of Village and Agriculture Assistance was convoked at
the NKR Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan. The issue of nutrition
safety was discussed. Ministries of Healthcare, Agriculture and
Economic Development were charged with the task to conduct frequent
inspections in the consume market and to intensify control with the
aim of excluding the sale of poor quality food products.
Representatives of local self-government authorities as well will be
involved into control activities. In case of discovering low-quality,
expired food products or those without any certification the economic
entity will be submitted to corresponding punitive measures within
the bounds of the law.
At the conference the harvesting process was discussed. The Prime
Minister charged with a task to complete it soon and to prepare for
the forthcoming autumn sowing activities.
Participants of the conference touched upon the process of redeeming
the loans rendered for the autumn sowing activities of 2009 as
well. The Prime Minister noted that future crediting will depend
upon fulfilling commitments in time, preserving the rules of land
cultivation and other conditions on part of loans. Those having any
obligation before the state will be deprived of future crediting. Date
of redeeming loans on part of chemical weeds was extended until
September 15.
During the conference issues on subregional programmes and quality
of seeds were discussed.
