YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. The secondary
school in the village of Khashtarak, Tavush Marz (Province), has been
renovated under the project of 154 million drams (409.5 thousand USD)
provided by the Association of Armenian Businessmen in Germany and
the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s branches in Germany and Switzerland.

The renovation project envisages eqipping the area adjacent to the
school with modern amenities, replacement of the heating system and
reconstruction of the school’s two subsidiary buildings. The heating
system will be put into operation in the winter after the construction
of a gas network in Khashtarak ends.

The school currently has 251 pupils, but after the completion of
the renovation work their number will increase by 349 which will
allow children from the village of Lusahovit, 8 km from Khashtarak,
to attend this school.
