YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN. The Karabakh problem and the work
to be done in this respect by the Armenian parliamentary delegation
at the autumn session of the PACE were discussed at the September 16
meeting of Chairperson of the RA National Assembly Standing Committee
on European Integration Affairs Naira Zohrabian and the Foreign
Minister of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Georgi Petrosian.

According to the National Assembly PR Department, the interlocutors
expressed conviction that at the current stage of international
and regional developments, it is more necessary than ever before
to join efforts and act based on the mutually agreed positions
at international organizations. They underlined the necessity to
present the process of democratic reforms being implemented in the
NKR to the international community and to argue for the legitimate
right of Karabakh people to live in its historical land – in line
with international norms. N. Zohrabian and G. Petrosian said these
steps should be purposeful and consistent.
