YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN, ARMENIANS TODAY. The Hayastan
All Armenian Fund began construction of a Varaz Samuelian cultural
center in Artik, a city of Shirak region. The project is financed
by the Armenia Fund U.S. Western Region, in accordance with the will
made by benefactor Varaz Samuelian.

It is planned to built a two-storey building with an area of 550
square meters. The first floor will include the art gallery, the
cultural-events hall, the chess room, the computer room and the
cloakroom. The second floor will include the classrooms for fine arts
and music instruction. The canvases of Varaz Samuelian will be shown
at the center.

According to the statement of the Public Relations Department of
Hayastan All Armenian Fund, the foundations of the building were
concreted and the walls are being built.

"We are happy that thanks to Varaz Samuelian’s will, today we are
able to build a fully-fledged cultural center, where generations
will be trained and educated, drawing inspiration from Samuelian’s
marvellous artistic legacy," executive director of the Hayastan All
Armenian Fund Ara Vardanian said.
