President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev sent his congratulations to Serzh
Sargsyan on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day.
"The development of close friendly relations between Russia and Armenia
is characteristic of mutual understanding, respect, and confidence,"
said Medvedev, reported the President of Russia’s press office.
"The deepening of Armenian-Russian military cooperation contribute
promote help our countries’ social-economic development, serving
Transcaucasian stability and peace."
The Russian president assured Sargsyan that Russia subsequently
intends to "take necessary steps: two-sided political dialogues,
for the development of practical and humanitarian cooperation."
