"I believe that no one doubts that serious processes and developments
connected with Armenian-Turkish relations, and particularly the
settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, await Armenia and
the Armenian public. Naturally, these processes will generate very
serious public shifts," Levon Ter-Petrossian’s Press Spokesperson
Arman Musinyan stated, while speaking with journalists today.

Commenting on Gagik Jhangirian’s statement that serious processes
await the country, Musinyan specified that such processes are expected
not in connection with the Armenian National Congress (HAK), but with
events taking place in the country.

"Very important processes will be taking place in the country, in which
HAK will have a very active role, you can be sure of that. Besides,
not only do I not exclude extraordinary developments and, why not,
an extraordinary election, but also I consider them probable,"
Musinyan said.

The press spokesperson considered the question "When will it
happen?" simple and stated that the answer to the question is connected
with complex processes.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
