ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSIAN RECEIVES RUSSIAN RENOWNED ACTOR V. GAFT

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
received today Russian renowned actor Valentine Gaft.

On September 26 the creative evening of the talented actor took place
in the Yerevan Russian dramatic theatre after Stanislavski which had
a great success.

Presidential Press office told Armenpress that President Sargsyan said
that "it is not accidental because in Armenia people know, love and
assess one of the most prominent representatives of Russian culture –
Valentine Gaft".

Pointing out to the firm spiritual ties between Armenian and Russian
people the Head of the State stressed that the Russian culture and
Russian language are greatly respected in Armenia.

Armenian President stressed the importance of preservation of the
established cultural links as well as their continuous revision and
enhancement to ensure the young generation with an opportunity to be
aware of them. In this respect Serzh Sargsyan considered the visit
of the renowned actor a great investment in these links.

Valentine Gaft said that this is the first time he is in Armenia,
that he is deeply impressed and thinks of next visits. He updated
the President about the new intentions of cultural cooperation
and stressed that the opportunity of tour of Russian "Sovremennik"
theatre to Armenia is being discussed.
