BRITISH AMBASSADOR: GREAT BRITAIN TO ASSIST TO ARMENIAN-TURKISH PROCESS

ArmInfo. Great Britain will make all the efforts to assist to the
Armenian-Turkish process, fully share the aspiration and efforts of
the European Union in this direction, British Ambassador to Armenia
Charles Lonsdale said at today’s international conference in Yerevan
"Armenia- Turkey: Prospects of Normalization of Relations in the
Light of European Integration".
According to the ambassador, there are certain risks in the process of
establishment of diplomatic relations initiated by the two parties,
however, there are also opportunities of using all the possibilities
which have not been used by Armenia and Turkey for a long time enough.
The ambassador attached importance to the process of normalization
of the Armenian- Turkish relations and emphasized that the countries
of the region, as well as the those outside of it are also interested
in successful completion of the process.
The conference has been organized by Analytical Center of Globalization
and Regional Cooperation and the British Embassy in Armenia. Experts
and politicians from Armenia and Turkey, a number of ambassadors
and representatives of foreign states in Armenia take part in the
conference.
