ArmInfo. 1 mln AMD penalty has been imposed on the Armenian internet
provider CrossNet for transferring fixed communication numbers,
which were issued by Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC),
to Orange Armenia CJSC, which is going to enter the market as the
third mobile communication operator of the republic.

The relevant decision was taken at Sept 30 sitting of PSRC. The
numbers were issued for CrossNet LLC by 16 Oct 2007 decision of
PSRC for commercial provision of services of outgoing international
calls. In July 2009 ArmenTel CJSC, which provided number capacities
for the specified numbers, informed the Commission about CrossNet’s
failure to implement the requirements envisaged by the PSRC decision,
particularly, about transferring the numbers to another company. A
decision was taken to suspend the use of one of the three issued
numbers in operation.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
