INTERNATION ANIMATION FESTIVAL TO PREMIER IN YEREVAN

The ReAnimani international animation festival will premier in Yerevan
from October 3-6.
Festival president, Vrezh Kasouny noted at a press conference today
the important assistance offered by various embassies in Yerevan
and said that Susan Breitenstein, an official at the U.S. Embassy,
has promised that co-producers from a number of famous film companies
such as Word & Brothers and Disney would be attending the festival,
in addition to Max Howard, executive producer of such well known
animated films as "Aladdin" and ‘The Lion King".
"Max will have a lot to say when he gets here but I am convinced that
he will leave Armenia impressed with what he sees and with many new
concepts in hand," opined Susan Breitenstein.
Melanya Moltman, from the German Embassy, noted the huge track record
of the German animation industry but confessed that the world wasn’t
aware of the strides made by German animators. "Thus, I am glad that
ReAnimani will provide an opportunity for people to become familiar
with German animation films and cartoons," she said.
During the festival, an evening devoted to the memory of Armenian
master of animation Robert Sahakyants who passed away this week.
