PRESIDENT’S FIRST ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR I.T. CONTRIBUTION

Taking place in November of this year will be President of the Republic
of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan’s first annual international competition
for contribution to the field of information technology, announced
Presidential Advsior in Economic Issues Vahram Nersisyan during a
press conference today.

In Nersisyan’s words, the competition’s aim is to highlight, on an
international scale, those individuals who have made a considerable
contribution to IT development.

Synopsis Armenia CEO Rich Goldman added that the competition, partly
financed by Synopsis, was finalized this summer, at the Armenian
president’s request. Goldman announced that the committee has already
chosen the winner, though his or her name will be announced only
during the awarding ceremony.

"Our winner, with his activities, is well-known in the whole world. He
is a gifted individual with many merits."

The winner will receive a special medal decorated with a
golden eagle. Other than the medal, the winner will receive a
silver-and-obsidian statuette. Goldman also announced that numerous
bids to participate in the competition have been received from South
America and Western Europe.
