Nagorno-Karabakh atlas presented in Stepanakert

STEPANAKERT, October 3, /ARKA/. Nagorno-Karabakh president Bako
Sahakian, other top officials, faculty and students of Artsakh State
University were present at the official presentation of the
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s Atlas, ARKA correspondent in Stepanakert
reported.

President Bako Sahakian emphasized the importance of the Atlas that
contains comprehensive political, economic, cultural, scientific,
geographic and other information about Nagorno-Karabakh. According to
him, the Atlas is important also in terms of ensuring the republic’s
security and it must serve as a guideline in all undertakings. He
thanked all the people who worked on the Atlas and awarded them state
orders.

All 1,500 copies of the Atlas which is in the Armenian and Russian
languages, were printed in Yerevan. It had been prepared by the
Armenian Center of Geodesy and Cartography of the State Cadastre
Committee at the order of the Nagorno-Karabakh government.

The Atlas has 70 maps of large and smaller scales and comprehensive
information about the republic’s resources, population, economy and
