Tehra: Iranian Actors Share Special Prize At Belarusian Theater Fest

IRANIAN ACTORS SHARE SPECIAL PRIZE AT BELARUSIAN THEATER FESTIVAL

TEHRAN — Stage actresses of the Iranian play "The Poetry Life of
Dummies" are sharing the special prize of the Belarus’ Panorama
International Theater Festival.

Somayyeh Shoqi, Mona Shamseddini and Zeinab Onsoqi won the prize for
their coordination in performance and an accurate depiction of Iranian
women and effective interaction with the audience during the play.

The Sayeh theater troupe previously staged the play at the High Fest
Sixth International Performing Arts Festival which was held in Armenia
in October 2008.

A total of 21 theater troupes from Belarus, Iran, Russia, Latvia,
Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Switzerland and Venezuela took part in
the event.

The motto of the festival was ‘Theater without Borders’ and it included
theater projects ‘Theater-online’ and also the St. Petersburg Days
of Culture.

Somayyeh Shoqi, Mohammad-Ali Zamani, Nasser Nurani, Mona Shamseddini
and Zeinab Onsoqi were in the cast of the play.
