"The last meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in
Chisinau did not give cause for optimism, because the Armenian side
suddenly began to discuss the issues that were agreed two to three
years ago," said Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov,
Trend News informs Oct. 16.

"We understand that there is a rule that unless everything is agreed,
it means nothing was agreed, but it is impossible to move if to go
back and start to discuss proposals or ideas that were agreed at
least two or three years ago. This is, of course, disappointing,"
stated Mammadyarov.

According to the Azerbaijani official "such actions by the Armenian
side are connected with the latest events in the region – the
Turkish-Armenian rapprochement."

As NEWS.am reported, RA President Serzh Sargsyan declared that the
interim and final status of Nagorno-Karabakh was the subject of the
talks during Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents’ meeting in Chisinau.

However, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated Oct. 16 that
"even if hundred years pass the Nagorno-Karabakh independence will
not be considered."

OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs on Karabakh peace process keep maintaining
that the meeting in Chisinau was constructive.
