‘Remembering Adana’ Is Armenian Studies Speaker’s Topic

‘REMEMBERING ADANA’ IS ARMENIAN STUDIES SPEAKER’S TOPIC

FRESNO, Calif., Oct. 6 — California State University Fresno issued
the following press release:

Ara Sarafian, director of the Gomidas Institute in London will speak
on "Remembering Adana" at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at California
State University, Fresno. The lecture, free and open to the public,
will be in the Alice Peters Auditorium, Room 191 of the University
Business Center.

The lecture is co-sponsored by the Armenian Studies Program and
Armenian Students Organization of Fresno State.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 1909 Adana massacre of
over 20,000 Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.

Sarafian is an archival historian specializing in late Ottoman
history. The Gomidas Institute is a leading research and publication
center related to modern Armenian history.

Free parking will be available in the University Business Center
parking lot after 7 p.m.
