Relations between Turkey and Armenia cannot be normalized until a
solution is found to the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Turkish
President Abdullah Gul told his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev over
the phone.
Aliyev thanked Gul for such a position taken by Turkey on this issue.
Gul and Aliyev also exchanged their views on relations between
their countries, ways to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and
Turkish-Armenian relations, the Azeri president’s press service said
on Wednesday.
The telephone conversation took place at Turkey’s initiative.
