"The end of occupation of Azerbaijani lands will create positive
basis for ratification of Turkish-Armenian protocols at the Turkish
parliament", Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said in his
interview with Al Jazeera.
He said there was no hope for ratification of the protocols without
positive move in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
"Approval of such agreements needs political and psychological
atmosphere. We acted under the Constitution and we cannot pressure
the parliament to ratify the protocols. We would like to create
political-psychological basis for approval of the protocols at the
parliament," he said.
"The progress in the peace talks is important because the occupation
of Azerbaijani lands has become the problem of Turkey".
