Armenia-Turkey Protocols’ ratification will have negative impact
on Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, however it should be remembered
that Turkey backs Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh issue for years,
Azerbaijani MP Jamil Hasanli told Day.az.

Asked whether the Protocols will be ratified in Turkish Parliament,
Hasanli replied, "I find difficulty in replying definitely and
suppose we should wait and see the developments. However, I do not
think border opening will be a tragedy for us. Our main purpose is
the return of our lands, but not impediment to border opening.

Hasanli also esteemed positively the increase of Turkey’s interests
in Caucasus. "Turkey seeks to return to Caucasus and get involved
in the regional processes, which is natural. It is more eligible of
doing so, than many other countries showing interest in Caucasus,"
the MP outlined.
