In 2009, Turkish Antalya was more popular among Armenians as compared
with recent years. Even calls of Armenian Revolution Federation
Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) did not impact those preferring Turkish resorts
to others.

However, Russians are the leaders amidst Antalya fans. Despite global
crisis, the number of Russians visiting Antalya reached 2 million
for 10 months period, Antalyahaber.com reports.

According to the Russian Consul in Antalia Mirdzhalol Husanov, over
10 000 RF citizens are residents of the city.

It is noteworthy, that the number of Israeli tourists has decreased
dramatically due to recent Turkish-Israeli political differences.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
