"All frozen conflicts, including Nagorno Karabakh conflict, should be
solved soon," Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar said at the
press conference after Switzerland took over from Slovenia as Chair
of the Committee of Ministers.

"All, as well as the European Union are interested in the soonest
solution to the frozen conflicts. We saw it in Georgia-Russia war
last year. A frozen conflict may turn into a hot conflict. Therefore,
we should find way of solution to these conflicts, including Nagorno
Karabakh. The European Union does not participate in the process of
negotiations. OSCE Minsk Group is dealing with this issue. Moreover,
first of all it is up to Armenia and Azerbaijan to find ways of
solution," he said.

Samuel Zbogar said the European Union should support the process
carried out by Minsk Group. "The European Union can do much to
accelerate establishment of confidence between the two countries
and contribute to promoting interregional cooperation in the South
Caucasus. For this purpose, Eastern Partnership program was established
between the European Union and South Caucasus countries and others. The
Eastern Partnership aims to establish closer cooperation between these
countries and the European Union. We expect reforms and development
from the above-mentioned countries. We want to facilitate these
reforms, development in these countries. These valuable means may
also indirectly help solve Nagorno Karabakh conflict," he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
