WORK TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF MCA-ARMENIA’S ACTIVITIES TO BE DONE

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, NOYAN TAPAN. A sitting of the Governing Council of
the Millennium Challenge Account-Armenia (MCA-Armenia) state nonprofit
organization took place on December 2. The concept "National Irrigation
and Drainage Policy of the Republic of Armenia" was discussed at the
sitting conducted by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Chief Executive Director of MCA-Armenia Ara Hovsepian gave a report.

The concerned sides exchanged ideas about the problem, and the prime
minister instructed the respective departments and organizations to
discuss the document once again and to present it at the next sitting.

The Governing Council approved the amended guide of purchases under
MCA-Armenia Program and the amendment to the plan of purchases. It
also approved the contract on rehabilitation of the Spitak gravity-fed
system.

Speaking about the annual report on the activities of the MCA-Armenia
Program, Tigran Sargsyan gave instructions to do more active work to
raise public awareness of MCA-Armenia’s activities and to inform the
public about the work done.

According to the RA Government Information and PR Department, the
next sitting of the Governing Council of MCA-Armenia is scheduled
for December 16.
