ARMENIA OUGHT TO CONTRIBUTE TO WORLD SAFETY

"Armenia praises the U.S. activities in the field of establishing
stability and peace in the region, and its involving into the process
of solving of the regional matters," said Armenia’s President Serge
Sargsyan when met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense
Minister Celeste Wallander.

"Armenia-U.S. relations are traditionally friendly and we are
interested in strengthening of these relations. We highly praise
the U.S. support of Armenia since those times the country got the
independence," President Sargsyan added.

Mrs. Celeste Wallander, in her part, said she’d like to learn more
about Armenia’s priorities in sphere of defense. She said the U.S.

highly praises Armenia’s activities and involvement in various
peacekeeping missions. Mrs. Wallander told about her visit to the
Peacekeeping Team of Armenia’s Armed Forces and said she is impressed
with the military resources of Armenian men-in-arm.

President Sargsyan said the involvement of the Armenian members of
the armed forces into peacekeeping missions is really important,
and added Armenia ought to contribute to world safety.
