Recep Tayyip Erdogan Turkey may raise the number of its servicemen
in Afghanistan, if the USA assists in the resolution of the
Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Karabakh.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will set this provision
before US President Barack Obama in response to his request for an
increase in the number of Turkish soldiers in Afghanistan.

Erdogan will raise the issue of Cyprus, as well as Karabakh, Hurriyet
newspaper reports, citing what it calls reliable diplomatic sources.

Turkish media have reported that Turkey may raise the number of its
troops in Afghanistan to 3,000.

Erdogan is to meet Barack Obama on 7 December.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
