SARKOZY CALLS ON THE AGREEMENT IN KARABAKH ISSUE

Yesterday France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy met with his Azerbaijani
counterpart Ilham Aliev, who is on visit to France.
The parties discussed the regional matters, including the issue of
settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Since France is a mediator and
a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.
"France’s President welcomed those positive trends that appeared in
this year’s sixfold meetings between the Armenian and Azerbaijani
Presidents. Nicolas Sarkozy urged the sides to come to an agreement
over the final settlement’s fundamental principles," said in the
statement released by the Cabinet’s press office.
