"Turkish Prime Minister put the Nagorno-Karabakh problem on agenda
of his meeting with the U.S. president and said the protocols signed
with Armenia wouldn’t be approved if there was no progress towards
liberating these occupied lands", Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan
Hulusi Kilic said.
He said that Turkey was waiting for progress in liberation of the
occupied lands.
"We will not accelerate the process of ratification, if the lands
are not liberated. This is very important issue for whole Caucasus".
The ambassador said there already were other closed borders in the
region before the Turkish-Armenian borders were closed.
"The borders closed first should be opened in the Caucasus. There is a
need to solve this problem because Karabakh is very important issue,"
he added.
