Two Armenian citizens who had placed an order with a Noida-based
garment manufacturing unit were attacked near the district hospital
here on Thursday, the police said on Friday.

The police said the three assailants also tried to snatch their bags
but were thwarted by passersby. The trio was arrested.

The victims, Tania Yuratseven and Vardhen Karapatyam, have told police
that they had earlier placed an order for garments with Indu Fashion
Export, based in Sector-63 here. The total order was worth Rs 5 lakh,
and the two had paid an initial amount of Rs 60,000, Sector-49 station
house officer (SHO) R K Saini said.

But since the company allegedly kept delaying the delivery on some
pretext, Yuratseven and Karapatyam, who arrived in Delhi 10 days ago,
went to meet the firm’s owner, one Preetam, on Thursday. They were
accompanied by a Delhi-based friend, Prem Kumar.
