ARMENIA’S HATIS TEAM PROGRESSES TO PLAYOFFS AFTER WIN OVER TURKS

Thursday, Armenian women’s basketball Hatis team won 78:74 over
Turkey’s Besiktas team in the sixth and last round of European Cup
Group F qualification.
The both teams have earned 9 points each, however, Hatis team is
the second-seeded after its two victories over Besiktas and best
result at the individual championship. Creece’s Athinaikos team is
the top-seeded at 11 points.
Yesterday’s play was attended by President of Armenia’s National
Olympic Committee Gagik Tsaroukyan, Minister of Sport and Youth
Affairs Armen Grogoryan, and by other officials.
