ArmInfo. The students unions of the National Neo-Conservative Movement,
the student union ‘Nikol Agbalyan’ os the ARF ‘Dashnaktiutyun’,
the student union ‘HAYK’ of the ‘Heritage’ party have directed an
open letter to the presidents and foreign ministers of Armenia and
Nagornyy Karabakh.

The letter says that the last events during the Armenian-Azerbaijani
negotiations on the Karabakh conflict settlement caused serious
anxiety among the Armenian population, since it is obvious that the
Azerbaijani party is , by all means, trying to link this conflict with
the settlement process of the Armenian-Turkish relations. As for the
authorities of Turkey, which are making more efforts than the official
Baku in the matter of the conflict settlement in favor of Azerbaijan,
they have adopted the policy of blackmail of the world community,
as a result of which the leaders of several influential states are
already making compromises to the Azerbaijani-Turkish requirements.

Taking into account such a reality, representatives of the
student public and political organizations have demanded from the
authorities of Armenia and Nagornyy Karabakh to conduct active works
on settlement of the liberated territories of Karabakh via creation
of infrastructures, the opportunities for development of economy and
tax privileges for settlers, making the inter-state contracts in the
political, economical and social spheres, to promote recognition of
Karabakh statehood within the present borders by the world community,
to create the necessary pre-conditions for recognition of the NKR
independence by the parliament and president of Armenia. They should
start an active work with the Armenian Diaspora to fulfill the goal.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
