Serzh Sargsyan is a future President of Armenia and he will be
elected as a result of the regular presidential elections in 2013,
RA Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan stated at the Dec. 24 press
conference.

"In any case, I personally will do my utmost for this to happen,"
he underlined, adding that he has no presidential pretensions and is
more than content with his current post.

Commenting on the rumors that he intends to stage inter-governmental
coup d’etat, Abrahamyan said, "I am a team player. My commitment was
proved in the course of political career and I will become a betrayer
under no circumstances."

Speaking of the relations within coalition, Abrahamyan outlined that
all three coalition parties -Republican, Orinats Yerkir and Prosperous
Armenia cooperate and there are no contradictions between them.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
