Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will appear in a nationally
televised program in Russia called "Results of the Year with the
Russian President," reports The Voice of Russia. The country’s three
state television stations, Channel One, Rossiya (Russia) and NTV will
simultaneously begin to broadcast the program later this afternoon.

Channel One’s General Director Konstantin Ernst, Rossiya’s General
Director Oleg Dobrodeev, and NTV’s General Director Vladimir Kulistikov
will be speaking with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, reports the
Russian Interfax news agency.

The program is to be rebroadcast by The Voice of Russia on its Russian-
and English-language websites in cooperation with its partners,
Vesti.ru and RussiaToday.ru.

The talk, more of a discussion than an interview with the president,
will highlight key events which took place in the country (most likely
broadcast by these same three TV stations), as well as discussing
Russia’s successes and challenges during this past year.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
