The January 10 majoritarian deputy elections held at the #10 precinct
was theft of the mandate under the veil of elections," says member
of Central Electoral Commission Zoya Tadevosyan.
She told about all the falsifications that she personally witnessed at
10/19 and 10/15 polling stations. According to her, deputy candidate
Ara Simonyan’s supporters came up with new methods of falsification.
"We noticed how they took the voters’ lists, but we weren’t able to
remember how 200 ballots were placed in the ballot box when 10-15
observers, proxies and journalists were standing nearby. Besides that,
I think that the fact that the president of the commission reserves
himself the right to close the doors of the polling station for an hour
and half says it all. I think that he should be brought to justice,"
said Zoya Tadevosyan.
According to her, they are not able to fight against the phenomenon
because there are many administrative resources and the law-enforcement
bodies are standing next to the people committing the acts.
"If the police are with the hooligans, you can’t do anything. All
observations are followed by attacks and assaults with the help of
policemen. In addition, there are eight members in the local electoral
commissions of which seven go against one and if there is any illegal
act, that is put up for a vote and illegalities turn into legality,"
said Zoya Tadevosyan.
