Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has no over-optimistic
expectations of the Armenian-Azerbaijani-Russian Presidents’ meeting
scheduled this weekend, RPA MP Gagik Minasyan told the journalists
today.

"I do not think any statement on significant changes will be voiced.

Azerbaijan’s unconstructive stance unfortunately leaves no hope for
any progress in the near future," he underlined.

Speaking of Jan.18 Sargsyan-Medvedev meeting, Minasyan said, "I
believe that Karabakh issue will be definitely discussed at the
meeting, as well as both sides’ stance and their possible convergence.

The exchange of the sides’ stand is essential to avoid surprise in
the course of trilateral meeting."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
