"The dissatisfaction of the Turkish Foreign Ministry with the decision
of the Armenian Constitutional Court is an attempt to impose the burden
of its own mistaken on Armenia," Vice-President of the Republican
Party of Armenia, Head of the Republican faction Galust Sahakyan told
a press conference today.

According to Galust Sahakyan, if Turkey fails to ratify the protocols,
it will sully its reputation. The MP is confident that there are going
to be new intrigues in the future, but insists that the protocols will
be ratified. However, Armenia is ready to hear a "no" from Turkey,
he added.

"I’m sure that Turkey will ratify the protocols. If it fails to do so,
it will mean Turkey’s defeat. Linking the ratification to April 24 is
a sentimental rather than a diplomatic approach," Galust Sahakyan said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
