TURKEY AND IRAN SHARE EXCELLENT RELATIONS, SAYS IRAN’S MINISTER OF DEFENSE

Turkey and Iran shared excellent relations, said Iranian Minister
of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Ahmad Vahidi, on Tuesday,
reports the Journal of Turkish Weekly.

Speaking to reporters at an international conference in Iranian
capital of Tehran, Vahidi said that conditions that will lead to
strengthening of relations between Turkey and Iran are in the making.

In regard to comments that the United States has a missile shield
project in Turkey, Vahidi said that such a project was full of doubts
and that American politicians did not present an open attitude on
the matter.

We do not think that our Turkish friends would be involved in a
project against Iran, Vahidi noted.
