/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The World Armenian Congress (WAC) and Armenia’s
Ministry of Diaspora will launch Tuesday the annual all-Armenian
contest on making essential contribution to the maintenance of Armenian
identity. It is also planned to sign bilateral cooperation agreements.

Eligible candidates can be all Diaspora organizations (educational
centers, mass media, community structure, Armenian studies Center and
creative groups) whose activities are aimed at the developing and
mainstreaming the Armenian identity and ensuring the consolidation
of Armenians.

The World Armenian Congress was founded in October 2003 as a union for
Armenian NGO’s, and has since reached an international status. The
WAC objective is to strengthen relations between Armenia and the
Armenian Diaspora, contribute to Armenia’s economic development
and the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, as well as
international recognition of Armenian Genocide.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
