FESTIVE EVENT ON OCCASION OF 18TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN ARMED FORCES TAKES PLACE IN U.S.

NEW YORK, JANUARY 26, NOYAN TAPAN. A festive event on the occasion of
the 18th anniversary of Armenian Armed Forces took place on January
22 with the participation of heads and representatives, national
benefactors of Armenian communities of the U.S. Eastern Coast’s New
York and New Jersey states. According to a report by the RA Foreign
Ministry Press and Information Department, the festive event organized
by the Tekeyan Cultural Association included a cultural program,
a film on the Armenian army and performances.

Ambassador of Armenia to UN Karen Nazarian welcoming the important
initiative of marking the day of Armenian Armed Forces emphasized
that Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora remember the Armenians who fought
for Armenian people’s freedom. He also mentioned that the memory of
our compatriots who perished for the idea of freedom and unity in
Baku and other towns of Azerbaijan populated with a great number of
Armenians is commemorated in Armenia and Artsakh in these days.
