Yerevan’s football team Ararat will be trained by former player of
Armenia’s national team Tigran Yesayan, who will present himself to
the football club today, though his contract officially begins on
February 1.

Assisting Yesayan will be former head coach Albert Safaryan and former
senior Ararat player Tigran Gsbeyan. Training the goalkeepers, however,
will continue to be Alyosha Abrahamyan’s responsibility.

Tigran Yesayan has formerly played with Ararat, Mountainous Karabakh,
Banants, Yerevan, Beirut’s Homentmen, and Zaporojie’s Torpedo.

Yesayan played in 21 matches and scored 4 goals while playing for
Armenia’s national team. After concluding his career as a football
player, he moved to training and coaching, primarily for youth teams.

Emil Lazarian

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
