CONGRATULATIONS EVEN FROM ARMENIANS, BUT NOT FROM MY COUNTRY’S OPPOSITION: CAVUSOGLU

"On the occasion of my election as president of the Parliamentary
Assembly of the Council of Europe, I received congratulations even from
Armenia, but not from the opposition in my own country," newly elected
PACE president Mevlut Cavusoglu said, according to Cihan news agency.
Cavusoglu complained that he received a note of congratulations from
neither the Turkish Republican People’s Party nor the opposition
Nationalist Movement Party.
However, according to Milliyet, the National Movement Party denied
yesterday news that the party’s parliamentarians did not support
Mevlut Cavusoglu’s candidacy.
Mevlut Cavusoglu is a member of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development
Party.
