Turkey is playing for time in Armenian – Turkish reconciliation
process, said Director of Institute of Oriental Studies at Armenian
National Academy of Sciences Ruben Safrastyan. He also added that it
is rather early to speak about the deadlock in the process.

"Turkey seems to make its trade with the USA more objective", –
the speaker said adding that during the upcoming two months the
Turkish side will undertake some distinct stepswhich come from the
normalization of the Armenian – Turkish relations.

"There is a possibility that in these months the commission of foreign
affairs of Turkey will start discussing the protocols", – said R.

Safrastyan.

The reconciliation process has slowed down but is not deadlocked. It’s
Turkey’s turn to move", – he noted.
