February 9, Armenian delegation headed by RA Deputy FM Arman Kirakosyan
arrived in Syria. In the course of the visit Kirakosyan will hold
a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al Muallem. Armenian
officials will participate in bilateral regular political
consultations, as well as attend the opening ceremony of the RA
Consulate in Deir ez Zor.

Arman Kirakosyan and Walid al Muallem discussed a wide range of
issues on bilateral political, trade and economic, scientific and
cultural cooperation, RA MFA Press Service informed NEWS.am. The
constant high-level visits give new impetus to mutually beneficial
cooperation between the friendly states, Syrian FM emphasized.

Armenia attaches great significance to the advancement of multilateral
and multi-faceted cooperation, Kirakosyan noted.

The regular round of Armenia-Syria consultations was held in Syrian
Foreign Ministry on Feb. 9.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
