BAKU NEEDS TO SEND ITS DIPLOMATS TO WASHINGTON

Sinan Ogan Turkish political scientist Sinan Ogan has commented on
the latest situation in the Armenian-Turkish relations.

"Azerbaijan and Turkey are jointly developing a common tactic to
counter the recognition of the so-called ‘genocide’ of Armenians in the
United States. Baku also must clearly set a prerequisite to the United
States according to which, in the case of recognition of ‘genocide’
their interests in the Caucasus, in particular in Azerbaijan, may
also be questioned. We now have to stick together as never before and
make it clear to Americans that such a policy will not work, said
Sinan Ogan, head of the TURKSAM Center for International Relations
and Strategic Analysis.

"Everything that was to happen has already happened, although we have
warned our government that Armenia is not a country with which it is
possible to agree on something and especially sign documents. Now
we need to find the way out of the situation. There is no time for
recriminations and insults, we need to develop a position that would
prevent Washington from taking such a step.

Armenia has begun a very dirty game, and we must frustrate its dirty
plan. The things have come to the point when Sargsyan, speaking in
London, decided to threaten us. Apparently, he felt the support and
now we have to deprive him of his support. Not much is left and we must
hurry. Apparently, Baku will need to send its diplomats to Washington,
to use all its capabilities for "genocide" not to be passed in the
Congress", said S. Ogan.
