Baku – APA. Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan recently visited the
United Kingdom was received without enthusiasm in this country.

He was welcomed at the London airport by the Armenian ambassador to
the United Kingdom and representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church,
APA reports quoting Armenia Today. He was not received by the British
Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Armenian former premier Grant Bagratyan blamed organizers for so cold
hosting. He said the invitatory side couldn’t organize Sargsyan’s
meeting with Brown. "It is not important that this meeting had official
or working character. They should organize at least phone conversation
with the Prime Minister. There is no need to say anything about the
welcoming ceremony at the airport".

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
